It’s no secret that here at Fuze Meeting we pride ourselves on our mobile collaboration expertise. So it’s always nice to receive, and share, great news about any of our mobile apps.
Today, we can officially announce that our awesome Fuze Meeting iPad app is now on all iPads in every Apple Store in the U.S.!
Our iPad customers love the full range of functionality our app offers, including HD video conferencing, so we’re confident that Fuze Meeting will wow the millions that enter Apple Stores on a daily basis.
Huge thanks to our product and development teams for the hard work on getting our app pre-installed. It’s a huge compliment to have a company who values quality user experiences, such as Apple, include us on their marquee in-store product.
If you happen to be in an Apple Store any time soon, please check us out and tell us what you think by visiting our Facebook Page or on Twitter @fuzemeeting.
Thank you Apple and thank you to our amazing customers!
Top 10 on the Honeycomb &
You can see why
Big news!!!!
We were listed in the top 10 Apps on Honeycomb from PC Magazine! (Check it out!)
I’m guessing most of you weren’t live at our press preview in Barcelona – but we brought the goods right back to you so take a second to see why the press has been making such a big fuss about us lately!
Our View from Mobile World Congress
The Fuze Meeting team is on planes and heading back stateside and while they were there, they snapped some pictures of the scenery. Since were in the Android booth..well, you’ll see.
Check out these shots snapped by our team!
You think collaborating in 4G doesn’t matter?
Think again.
Have you seen our home page right now (click on the learn more)? We are embracing the fact that we’re fantastically 4G. And, that we’re in fact, the ONLY
option if you have a 4G device.
So – what does it all mean?
For you non-techies out there, there are two things you need to know about 4G for now:
1. That download and upload speeds are wicked fast
2. That it’s an entirely different technology than is used for 3G
This means that if you don’t have a 4G device, you won’t be able to experience the benefit of 4G – connection speeds when you’re on-the-go that rival those you currently have on your computer. If your mobile device can go as fast as your computer, you’ll become less dependent on the computer for the sake of a good connection and THAT means that you just got more mobile.
So what will you notice?
We’ve got the FIRST Online Meeting Android App
Did you hear that world? We’re officially first YES FIRST to market with a web conferencing or online meeting or mobile meeting or desktop sharer or meter-on-the-goer or WHATEVER you want to call it – we are first, first, first with a dedicated app for your Android.
Not JUST a mobile browser-based, jimmy rigged version that sort-of works on your Android if you shake it just right, but a real-deal app built especially for that Android device in your hands (Note: if one is not currently in your hands, just pretend for a sec).
So, you ask, what have you in this Android app?
- View desktop sharing – Yep. See exactly what they’re looking at on their computer screen when you view their shared desktop! And (I know what you’re thinking.) You can zoom in see everything really clearly. Copy, images, everything.
- Get Active – To break out my press release language – you get an unprecedented ability to watch and listen to high-quality video and audio – start, stop and pause with the same level of functionality as meeting hosts have. Wowzers! (That last bit did not make it into the press release)
- Share content straight from your Android – As soon as your meeting host designates you as a presenter, you can upload video or image files straight from your phone.
How do I get it?!?!?!
The Deal with Fuze Meeting on the iPad
Pouring over blog analytics yet again, we noticed a traffic and comment bump around our lone iPad article, which I’ll take to mean WE WANT MORE NEWS ON THE iPAD!
So – here’s your update.
Right now the release date for our AH-mazing iPad app is scheduled for mid-ish July-ish – emphasis on the AH-mazing and the ishes.
Emphasis on the AH-mazing
Let me just say, I spent last week in The Bahamas giving demos of the iPad app, and I’m authorized to CONFIRM that the interface is soooo smooth, it’s like melted buttah sliding off Mr. Clean’s glossy noggin. LIKE BUTTAH! (more…)
Fuze Meeting Looking for Android Beta Testers
Dear Cyberspace,
Fuze Meeting is YES INDEED about to launch an app for the Android, but we’re looking for beta testers. Do you Fuze? Do you Android?
If your answers were OF COURSE and OBVIOUSLY, leave a comment on this post and we’ll send you an email. We would appreciate your feedback ever so much! (You have to enter your email.) (I can see your email but no one else can.) (Don’t worry, I won’t spam you.)
We will of course make a big stink about it on the blog when Fuze Meeting for Android goes live, so until then sign up for beta or rock back and forth in wild anticipation.

Why Apple Stores Want Our App
(and)How To Get A Free T-Shirt
The Fuze Meeting team got quite a treat yesterday when a couple of us were wandering through the Apple store scopin’ the iPads on Market Street (we’re in SF) and WHAM, we saw that …
The Fuze Meeting mobile app is one of the default apps on all in-store iPhones!!!
For serious! I mean, yes, we were expecting it…but we didn’t know when they would hit stores and man-oh-man are we pleased!
So naturally, I cut my Fuze T-shirt into my best 80’s-off-the-shoulder get-up and popped out to take a picture with our little mobile collaboration buddy. Say cheese! *click*
“What,” you ask, “makes Fuze Meeting on the iPhone so amazing that Apple would actually ask us to feature it in stores?” Well – a few things actually.
- It’s super sexy. You know Apple cares quite as much about design as they do about functionality. Don’t worry, we’re functional too, but the sleek factor really gave us a leg up here.
- It’s intuitive to use. As in – you probably won’t find yourself using the Google machine to tap out ‘how to use Fuze Meeting iPhone.’
- It’s the only free app on the iPhone that is a client for OCS. OCS is the Microsoft Office Communicator program – like IM for the workplace, but you can’t get it on your phone for free, unless of course you use Fuze!
Calling all pseudo photographers who want free T-shirts!
I see right through you. You’re almost probably for sure definitely going to sneak into an Apple store in the near future to ogle over the iPad. While you’re waiting, swing around to the other table and take a picture of you (or…anyone) holding up an open Fuze Meeting app, send it in to community(at)fuzebox(dot)com, and maybe, JUST MAYBE you can have your very own hand cut 80’s Fuze Box T-shirt. I will personally break out the scissors and mail the sender of the email their very own sliced-up t-shirt if I deem the photo to be “totally awesome.” Awesomeness includes but is not limited to costumes, poses, puppies or Apple stores in fun locations!
Disclaimer: This is hardly a real contest and judging is completely based on my personal feelings of awesomeness. I may send 4 T’s, I may send 40…not knowing is part of the adventure! If I feel like I want to post the images on our Facebook or Tweetshare pages, then I will. So don’t send something you don’t want public. And good luck!
