Huge thanks to our product and development teams for the hard work on getting our app pre-installed. It’s a huge compliment to have a company who values quality user experiences, such as Apple, include us on their marquee in-store product.

Fuze Meeting Network Outage Update (3/12/10)
To all customers and partners of Fuze Box.
Today at 10:30 a.m. Pacific time, we experienced a network outage that impacted our Fuze Meeting, Fuze Messenger and Tweetshare services. This outage was related to a network failure in Nevada and had a material impact on our ability to serve our customers for nearly ninety minutes.
We took immediate and all necessary steps to remedy the problem so that our customers could get up and running as quickly as possible. These are the unfortunate circumstances that surround the internet and networking technologies, and today we were no exception.
We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience that this outage caused our customers. We at Fuze Box also rely on these services and we know how difficult it can be when unexpected outages occur, but as a customer you should be able to consistently expect and rely upon high availability services from Fuze Box and I want you to know that we take your business very seriously.
We have been working for months now on mirroring our services in a new data center in Virginia, which will give us full geographical redundancy, enabling us to balance the load of all services and traffic across two sites. This is important as we want to ensure that our customers would never experience a failure of services in which you have come to expect, and upon which you rely for your business collaboration. Through geographical redundancy, we are well architected to continue servicing our customers with speed and reliable uptime, and only extreme acts of nature or failures of the internet in general, are risks which we as well as any web services company, would remain vulnerable. In a matter of a week, we will have our new Virginia data center operational. Once this work has been completed, we will communicate with you on what you can expect in terms of improved service quality.
I speak for all of us here at Fuze Box in saying that we are committed to providing you with exceptional service and we are sincerely grateful for your trust in us and for your business.
Please feel free to email me directly at jcavins@fuzebox.com, if you would like to comment on today’s events or if you have any questions.
Thank you.

Problem with media uploading (RESOLVED)
Hi,
This morning Fuze Meeting experienced a malfunction with media uploading and transcoding. We’re very sorry that this disrupted your day. We understand that Fuze Meeting provides a service that you use at critical times and the downtime, rare as it maybe; we at Fuze Meeting take it very seriously.
We were able to resolve the issue in 30 minutes and allow media uploading and transcoding to resume.
Please know we are working tirelessly to ensure this doesn’t happen again. It is incredibly painful for us see this happen. We hope you accept our apology and we thank you for being a Fuze Meeting customer.

Fuze Meeting for iPad
Like most of you, we at Fuze Box have been eagerly awaiting the news of the iSlate, iTablet…iPad. It’s quite nice if I say so myself…but it’ll only be as good as its content. So our intrepid Fuze Meeting team are already working on developing the easiest, boldest and most powerful collaboration service for the iPad. We have a couple of months of work to do while Mr. Jobs and team deliver the iPad but we’re confident that web conferencing and collaboration will never be the same. Stay tuned to this post by subscribing to the RSS feed for future announcements.
Major advancements. Minor annoyances.
Dear Fuze Meeting-ers,
Unfortunately, as we pave the way to web conferencing perfection, there’s bound to be a little roadwork. If you haven’t logged in since the last release, you’ll be prompted to install the new plug-in. *pause for moans* Now then. Once you install, you’ll enjoy these spanking new features:
- Better screen sharing performance
- A single click to accept all attendees into a meeting
- Improved audio conferencing dialog box with clearer directions
- Enhanced buttons to allow posting of replays to Facebook and Twitter
- Quick rejoin to a meeting in case of unexpected browser crash
- Improved flow to easily upgrade your Fuze Meeting account
- Flash logs you can attach to report problems to us should one arise
Leave us feedback on these changes by clicking the “comments” link.
Sweet! New TSA rules!

Avoid this line, use Fuze Meeting instead.
Thanks to the December 25th bombing attempt, the TSA is implementing increased measures to deter potential terrorist threats. Despite your undoubted state of elation from knowing you’ll finally be safe when you board a plane, we strongly advise you to seek other means of conducting important meetings. Web conferencing might be something you’ll want to consider.
While online meetings don’t afford you the perks of traveling – namely security pat-downs, screaming children kicking your seat, and those hilarious flight attendants – it does allow you to meet with whomever you need to from a remote location of your choice and cut travel costs. We know that doesn’t compare to free peanuts, but it’s a start.
Happy New (Fiscal) Year

With the New Year comes a renewed budget that’s just begging to be spent. But before you blow half a year’s allowance on flat-panel TV upgrades and that company bowling alley that’s been in the works for over a decade, take a minute to think practically about where to invest. Hint: web conferencing solutions.
Web conferencing gives your team a dependable, flexible, and most importantly, cost-effective way to hold web meetings with each other wherever your peeps find themselves. (Not the marshmallow peeps. They have no auditory capacity.) Plus with the money you save on travel costs, you can fund company bowling nights. Finally, your chance to bust out that old shirt from league play and rock everyone’s socks off.
Happy Holidays from Fuze Box
The title of the post really says it all. As we all finish up our last-minute holiday shopping and get ready for the caloric overload over the next few days, all of us here at Fuze Box want to wish you a Happy Holiday season. If you’re one of our Fuze Meeting customers, we sincerely thank you for your business this year and look forward to providing you enhanced web conferencing services and continued value in 2010.
From us to you, have a happy and safe holiday season.
